The works Liou shares on facebook under the name of Baina Studio has gained much attention and response online. Having grown up by the sea in Pindong in southern Taiwan, Liou’s love for untainted nature and strong sense of environmental protection inspired his use of recycled and vintage materials which has also become the trademark of his unique pieces. As licensed speaker with rich knowledge in car mechanism, sheet metal and machinery, Liou is also a keen learner in carpentry, engineering, auto repair, automotive sheet metal and painting as well as electronics, applying his expertise on his art works.

Liou’s fascination for history, particularly the age of the steam engine, can be seen in his works. They bring together elements from steam engines, military gears and combine them with electronically ran gadgets and vintage aesthetics, creating works which are artistically pleasing and unique pieces of art.
