Daguan Gallery presents the works by seven artists who work with different media. Hsu Hui-Chih transforms his contemplation on human emotions and sorrows into poetry and calligraphy; through the rearrangement of antique parts, Liou Shiuan Shi’s mechanical sculptures bring back their past glories; Liang Yu-Hsuan’s canvases capture light and shadows frozen in time, reflective of the artist’s sentiments; Kum Chi Keung’s installation expresses men’s natural passion for liberty and freedom through the representation of flying apes; Lo Chan Peng’s depiction of war time hardship brings out the spectator’s empathy for others who suffer from traumatic experiences; Season Lao’s photographic prints recall the poetic nature of landscape paintings and inspire one to reconnect with the nature; Yen Chun embraces the colours of nature as part of his daily life and transforms them into sophisticated and sentimental lights on his canvases. The participants convey their feelings and care on human emotions, materials, space, freedom, life, nature, composing a song for the earth, a song we shall all sing together.
